Dr. Shanwen Gao graduated from guangxi college of tradition Chinese medicine with her bachelor’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine in china. She later graduated from royal university in Los Angeles with a master of science in oriental medicine. She is presently an instructor at the Colorado school of traditional Chinese medicine where she teaches traditional Chinese medicine, western medical case studies and serves as a supervisor in student clinic. Dr. Gao is a Colorado and California licensed acupuncturist and is also nationally certified to practice acupuncture. She specialized in Chinese herbology and acupuncture, as well as the treatment of pains, female problems, skin disease and facial acupuncture for health and beauty.

Licensed Massage Therapist, Melanie Waite graduated in 1999 from the Healing Arts Institute in Fort Collins, CO. She began her career in New Zealand as one of the only certified therapists in the country. Mel worked with the internationally renowned rugby team, the "All Blacks," as well as running her own private practice. Her passion for massage and desire to help people find a better quality of life brought her back to the United States in 2007. Today, Melanie continues to work with the local rugby teams here in Colorado, and is excited to join the team at LifeSource Health Partners. All of her years of experience, training and healing touch make her an outstanding therapist. Her specialties include: corrective body work, sports and accident injuries, postural correction, cupping, Shiatsu and neuromuscular massage. Kate’s journey into healthcare began in 2005 at Hawaii Pacific University School of Nursing in Kaneohe, Hawaii. There, one of Kate’s professors who was a naturopathic physician, opened her up to a whole new realm of treatment options and therapies that seemed to work wonders compared to traditional medicine. In early 2009, Kate returned back to the mainland with a dream of facilitating wellness services for people who needed them the most. For the past four years, she has been working closely with an Acupuncturist/Herbalist who has been helping her to gain even more clinical experience, working with a vast array of patients in all levels of health and wellness. Kate is now enrolled in the Holistic Health Program and near completion of her degree as a Holistic Health Professional. Some of her other formal training includes certification as a Phlebotomist, Nurse Assistant, Usui Tibetan Reiki Master, Wellness Coach, Medical Examiner and recent work as a horticulture therapist. Kate enjoys doing light bodywork with clients, using guided meditation and Reiki to achieve a deep sense of relaxation and internal peace for the recipient.
Kate has been an influential part of several startup companies throughout the state of Colorado, establishing new business models, designing wellness centers and facilitating and coordinating care plans for thousands of local patients. Kate has been a guest speaker at wellness retreats, health clinics and at various holistic seminars since 2009. She now works as a wellness coach and health examiner in the greater Denver area, and is available by appointment.

Alicia Pina, CNHP specializes in helping people take control of their health by recommending programs that best suit their individual needs. Her passion is "nutritional consulting" and her program is Isagenix. Alicia was a Jeffco art teacher until four years ago when she went on a “health mission” and was forced to take charge of her own health. “I realized I had only one body and if I wanted to have a quality life, it was up to me.” After recovering from all of her debilitating health issues, Alicia now has a true passion for sharing her journey of recovery and what she has learned along the way! Alicia specializes in health education, workshops, small groups, and large audiences. |

Tina Ulatowski is a native of Colorado. In 1999 while battling cancer Ulatowski obtained her Masters Degree in Social Work. She began her journey as a Certified Nutritional Counselor after beating the odds and surviving cancer. Ulatowski is author of “What Your Doctor Doesn’t Tell You, A Simple Guide Between Nutrition and Disease.” As a national speaker on nutrition, cancer prevention, and complementary and alternative medicine, Tina lectures frequently for hospitals, universities, corporations, and other organizations. Since 2003, she has coordinated dozens of health conferences and heath fairs, counseled thousands of patients and appeared on radio, television and web talk shows.
Tina guides one in their journey to health by explaining how food and diet, stress, attitude, toxins, and environment contribute to how our bodies function and feel. She provides insight on the definitive effect food has on all parts of the body including organ function, physical performance, emotional balance, and mental capacity. Nutritional Counseling is an intentional and conscious exploration of food, its effect on the body, and how best to use this tool to gain or maintain health.
Tina obtained her Associates of Applied Science, with an emphasis in Criminal Law in 1992. In 1994, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Social Work and a minor in Criminal Law. Tina was also chosen as an “Extraordinary Woman” serving Jefferson County, Colorado in 2005. Tina is a Colorado native and finds the time to volunteer for a variety of organizations including the University of Denver, as the Past - President of the Graduate School of Social Work, a Legislative Ambassador for The American Cancer Society, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and is a District Non-Medical Coordinator for the 9 Health Fair.

Bill Bergman, M.D. is a physician and educator in the fast-growing field of complementary and preventive medicine, and has a particular interest in a behavioral and holistic approach to health promotion and disease prevention. Raised in New York City, Dr. Bergman attended Westbury High School, graduating in 1962 as a member of the Honor Society, with the American Legion Citizenship Award and the Bank of Westbury Outstanding Student Award. A Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College in 1966, he was elected to Sigma Xi, the national honorary scientific society and received the Oscar E. Schotte Award for excellence in Biology.
He went on to Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons as a member of the International Fellows Program at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and was an Edward John Noble Foundation Fellowship recipient in 1968. Becoming greatly interested in psychosocial and behavioral medicine, Dr. Bergman completed his post-graduate training at Denver General Hospital in 1971, where he first began researching preventive medicine and innovative methods for reducing the risk of serious disease. In 1972, Dr. Bergman affiliated with the New York City Department of Health, serving as staff physician at Rikers Island Adolescent Remand Shelter and as chief physician at the Bronx House of Detention where he had first-hand experience with the impact of personal behavior on health and disease.
After working as an Emergency Department physician in three hospitals in California, and a period of private practice, research and study, in 1980 Dr. Bergman established a preventive and holistic medical clinic in New York City, where he specialized in natural medicine, clinical nutrition and stress management. In 1997, Dr. Bergman became Medical Director of Melville Health and Wellness Offices and Roslyn Health and Wellness on Long Island. He was actively involved in creating integrative healthcare services combining conventional and complementary medicine, and reaching out to the community with programs on health promotion and disease prevention. His particular interest has been in developing cooperative partnerships with local businesses and civic associations around the concept of a healthy community.
Dr. Bergman’s medical background includes serving as medical examiner at the Life Extension Institute in New York City, as a consultant for the Corsello Centers for Complementary Medicine, Medical Arts at Carnegie Hall, the Northport Wellness Education Center and E.A.P. Medical Services in Manhattan.Over the years, Dr. Bergman has authored several films and slide programs and has spoken extensively to community organizations, medical schools, universities and public schools on health issues involving preventive and complementary medicine. He has taught two Post-Master’s Courses at the Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College and has taught the medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons and SUNY Stony Brook.
As an educational consultant for Heel, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of combination homeopathic medicines, Dr. Bergman conducted a 7-city speaking tour in 1997 for physicians on the topic of incorporating complementary medicine into a conventional primary care medical practice. He has also given seminars in Natural Home Healthcare through the Learning Annex and the Open Center in New York City. During 1998, he presented programs for physicians and other health professionals in six major cities on integrative healthcare for children and the elderly. Dr. Bergman has served as the focus leader for Healthology.com, a leading producer of on-line health education and information, in the area of Complementary and Alternative Medicine and remains as a Healthology faculty member. Since moving to Colorado, he has done extensive community health education, consulting for wellness centers.
